You’ve gotta love the breathless tone of lefty reporting on those shadowy sinister networks of right-wing nutjobs that dare to organize in opposition to the liberal agenda.

Today’s exhibit: Max Blumenthal in the HuffPo on the secret evil right-wing conspiracy that produced The Path to 9/11. Mickey Kaus is already on top of this one (with Jonah Goldberg citing Kaus approvingly in The Corner).

I never know whether to be amused or alarmed by the Left’s boundless capacity for outrage whenever they discover that somebody, somewhere, is organizing in opposition to their political program. Does this simply show that some folks in moonbat land still need to grow up…or is it a sign that they are less than fully committed to the American democratic system where all sides, not just theirs, have the right to raise money and make their arguments and fight as hard as they can?

A Plame-related tangent: I believe it is this tic that explains the demonization of Karl Rove, and of Lee Atwater before him, and of all other successful Republican operatives. They work hard to beat Democrats, therefore they are evil incarnate. No other evidence of any other sins is really necessary.

I agree and am glad to meet you.

As introduction: I came to your site via The Goliard.net. It kept coming up in a search for RB Rice Chili. There was an RB Rice Chili Brick mostaccioli recipe there. Said chili brick is disappearing in my stores and I was wondering what was going on.

When I got to your site and saw ‘doppelganger’ mentioned (I’m a big fan and backer of Israel) and something about “Democratic ‘W’ hating” making you angry, I just had to write and tell you I like the way you write.

I also read a lot, if not all, of the America West letters. All this is good to know.

Thanks for all the info. I’m glad I wandered onto your site. (BTW - I’m almost a daily reader of IMAO.us - sometimes it’s hard to read everyday everybody I want to read)

Good to have you come by. The folks over at thegoliard.net and I chatted a bit the last time I was in the blogging game; I threw some recommendations the Bookwoman’s way but don’t know whether she ever read them.

From their letters to America West, it would seem that the thegoliard.net people had an even worse time on that outfit than I did, the last time I gave it a try (about seven years ago now). Maybe US Airways will straighten them out now that they’ve merged. USAir may not have the very best reputation either, but I’ve always had good luck with them (knock on aluminum).
